Privacy Notice
AltETF is committed to protecting personal information and handling it in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
Information we collect
We may collect information that you provide directly when contacting AltETF, using a preserved account feature or requesting the AltETF Briefing. Briefing information includes your name, email address, company, country, User Type, professional Category where applicable, and records of your request and consent.
We may also collect information relating to your use of the website, including IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed and research or fund content accessed. Where analytics tools are used, they may also provide aggregated information about how visitors interact with the platform.
How we use your information
Personal information may be used to operate and improve AltETF, administer preserved account features, respond to enquiries, maintain security, prevent abuse, and understand the composition and use of the AltETF readership at an aggregate level.
If you request the AltETF Briefing, we use the information and consent you provide to administer your request and, if approved, send the fortnightly Briefing and related AltETF research updates. Requests may be reviewed before inclusion in the distribution list, and submitting the form does not guarantee inclusion.
Briefing communications are based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent and unsubscribe at any time.
AltETF does not sell or rent personal information and does not provide personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Service providers and cookies
AltETF uses third-party technology providers to operate the website, including services relating to hosting, databases, authentication and website analytics. Where an email delivery provider is used for the AltETF Briefing, that provider may process approved subscriber information only as needed to deliver and administer the communication. This notice will be updated with appropriate provider details when a provider is activated.
Some information may be processed outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards will be used where required under applicable data protection law.
AltETF may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functionality, account sessions and analytics. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, these will only be used in accordance with your preferences.
Retention, security and your rights
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Briefing information is normally retained while you are subscribed. After an unsubscribe request, limited suppression and record-keeping information may be retained where necessary to respect that request and maintain compliance.
AltETF takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, although no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access the personal information held about you, request corrections or deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If you have a question about your information, would like it updated or deleted, or wish to exercise any applicable data protection rights, please contact alex@alt-etf.com.
You may also have the right to make a complaint to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically as AltETF or the services used to operate the platform evolve.
