AltETF is an independent research and discovery platform focused on European exchange-listed alternative investment strategies and specialist exposures.
The aim is to give professional investors a clearer view of a market that remains fragmented across managers, wrappers and strategy labels. AltETF brings together fund discovery, strategy classification and research in one place.
The universe spans both traditional alternative return engines translated into exchange-listed form, such as managed futures, long/short and relative-value strategies, and more specialist or engineered exposures where options, systematic rules, market structure or implementation materially change the investment outcome.
The platform is designed primarily for professional allocators, including wealth managers, private banks, family offices, institutional investors, consultants and multi-manager portfolios.

AltETF covers European-listed ETFs, ETCs and ETNs providing access to alternative investment strategies and specialist exposures. The objective is not to build the largest possible fund database, but to create a focused and relevant universe for professional investors.
Products are assessed according to what principally drives the investment outcome, whether that is an alternative strategy, a differentiated payoff structure, a specialist underlying exposure or a materially distinct systematic implementation.

A research-led perspective
Alex Ellerby, CFA founded AltETF to provide independent research and discovery focused on the growing European market for exchange-listed alternative investment strategies.
Alex has more than six years of experience in hedge fund and alternative investment research, most recently as an Associate Director at Kepler Partners. His work has covered manager research, strategy analysis and due diligence across a broad range of alternative investment approaches.
AltETF brings that research perspective to the evolving exchange-listed market, with a focus on clarity, independence and practical relevance for professional investors.
